Dr. Jean-Noel Thompson is Executive Vice President at Harding University in Searcy, AR. Prior to his role at Harding, he held positions as vice president for student services and assistant professor of Education at Faulkner University, Abilene Christian University, Grove City College, and Grand Canyon University. Thompson earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Arizona State University, a master’s degree in student affairs in higher education from Colorado State University, and a doctorate in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University. Thompson has been published in a variety of education journals and has presented at a number of national conferences. Prior to being adopted at the age of 12, Thompson and his twin brother experienced multiple foster home placements and helped welcome many foster children into their permanent home, post-adoption. These experiences have profoundly impacted his life, and he enjoys encouraging others through his story. He and his wife Tonya of 32 years have eight children, ranging in age from 9 to 28.
